Lithuania believes more than nobody else in Moldova. We stand ready to support you. Before 2004 there were certain Member states of the EU which helped us to prepare for the euro-integration. Now we feel that it is a time to express our gratitude by doing what those countries were doing for our benefit.


2009 10 30 - Second EISC Cycle of Lectures in Moldovan Province

On 25-28 October 2009 the Moldovan-Lithuanian Foundation „European Integration Studies Centre” organised and conducted a series of public lectures on european integration experience gained by Lithuania during the accession periode and its membership of the EU.


2009 10 29 - On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the democratic changes in Eastern Europe the leaders of the liberation movements of that time gathered in Lviv

On October 25-27, 2009 the international conference For Our Freedom and Yours! For Our Common Future! was held in Lviv. The aim of the conference was to once again contemplate and evaluate the consequences of the grand events and achievements of the past and the importance of the Eastern European liberation movements which began twenty years ago, as well as to envisage further pathways for democratic development in order to achieve a stable common future.


2009 10 10 - Exhibition of Caricatures on NATO in Chisinau

On Thursday, 8 October 2009, an exhibition of caricatures on NATO was inaugurated in Chisinau. The event was organized by the Moldovan-Lithuanian Foundation “European Integration Studies Center” with the kind assistance of the Lithuanian Embassy in Moldova as NATO Contact Point.


2009 09 25 - First EISC Cycle of Lectures Started in Moldovan Province

On September 23-25, 2009 the European Integration Studies Centre (EISC) started the first cycle of lectures in Moldovan province. Considerable experience gained during the last two years and strong Moldova's need to get Lithuanian experience of European integration induced the EISC to expand its traditional lecture cycle to cover the province of this country.



2009 07 20 - Summer Camp in Moldova

European Integration Studies Centre became actively involved in summer camp ‘On the Bank of Dnister about Foreign Politics’ on July 13th - 18th. The camp on the bank of Dnister in the resort town of Vadul lui Vode was organized by Foreign Policy Association of Moldova (APE). Over 30 youth leaders from the right and left (Transnistria) banks of Dnister, as well as from Lithuania, Georgia and breakaway Republic of Abkhazia participated in the camp.


2009 07 13 - Journalists of Crimean and Lviv Television Pay a Visit to Lithuania

Lithuania hosted the camera crew of ITV commercial television from Autonomous Republic of Crimea and journalist from Lviv State Television on July 5th - 10th of this year. The aim of the visit of journalists to Lithuania was to create a series of reportages about Lithuania and later broadcast them in Ukraine.


2009 05 25 - Lviv Regional Office of the European Integration Studies Centre (Lithuania) Expanded the Area of its Activities to Volyn

On May 21-22, 2009, Volyn National University of Lesya Ukrainka (Lutsk, Ukraine) hosted the annual international scientific and practical conference ‘European Integration Processes and Cross-Border Cooperation’. This year the conference was for the first time attended by experts from the Lithuanian Republic. Participants from different countries - Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, Russia - discussed the challenges and prospects for development of the European integration processes in the Eastern Europe and development of cross-border cooperation. The conference draw attention of quite a large number of students, post-graduate students, teachers from all parts of Ukraine.


2009 05 23 - EISC Sparked Furor in Crimea

On May 21-22, 2009, the European Integration Studies Centre (Lithuania) took part in the events held in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine. On May 21, experts from Lithuania made their reports at the seminar ‘Ethnicity and Power: New Geopolitical Map of Europe and Security Problems in the Black Sea and Caspian Region’. On May 22, in the course of opening of the Days of Lithuania in Crimea the European Integration Studies Centre was presented.
